THE
'FOURNIL DE SANTIAGO'
|
|
|
 |
In
1997, I took the plunge with a couple of French associates and
we decided to open a traditional French bakery in a particularly
sought-after district of Santiago, Chile. |
| The
resulting 'Fournil de Santiago' was declared Business of the
Year in 1999 by the Franco-Chilean Chamber of Commerce, and
now employs over 130 people. The business has two production
units and seven bakery-restaurants in the capital itself, the
Santiago international airport and the resort district of Vina
del Mar. The 'Fournil de Santiago' has recently been awarded
the exclusive contract for the supply of bread and related products
to a huge venue hosting fairs and other events. |
 |
|
The
'Fournil de Santiago' offers its customers more than 75 different
kinds of French bread, including baguettes, baguettes campagnardes,
volcans, sübrots, miches Vabret, and Maraquetta, as well
as an equally wide range of delicatessen products, pastries
and brioches. |
